‘Imran Khan has no personal agenda’

Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar has said that the government is strengthening the institutions free from political interference.

Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar while talking to media in Lahore said that Prime Minister Imran Khan has no personal agenda, only development and prosperity of the country is his mission.

“For the first time in the history of Pakistan, a government is taking action against the mafia and making institutions free from politics,” he said.

The Punjab Governor warned that the novel coronavirus could get out of control if people will not practice according to the standard operating procedures.

He also hailed the efforts of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) to deal with the pandemic.

On the other hand The government of Punjab has imposed a ‘smart lockdown’ in the province, effective till August 5, in an effort to curb the spread of the coronavirus during Eid ul Azha.

This step comes as Punjab reported zero deaths for the first time in two months.

According to a notification issued by the Punjab Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department dated July 27, all educational and training institutes, marriage halls, business centers, expo halls, restaurants,  eateries, amusement parks, play areas and arcades, beauty parlors and spas, cinemas and theaters will remain closed.
