President Dr. Arif Alvi called for a media campaign to create awareness about the role of the Federal Ombudsman and clarified that the Ombudsman should digitize his record and ensure the use of latest technology.

President Dr. Arif Alvi attended the Federal Ombudsmen Conference. In his address on the occasion, Dr. Arif Alvi said that the Ombudsman’s Office has been made more effective by amending the existing laws to address grievances, provide cheap and speedy justice. The federal ombudsman is playing a vital role in providing justice to the people.

President Dr. Arif Alvi has directed the Federal Ombudsman to increase access to remote areas of the country to provide cheap and speedy justice.

Earlier, Federal Ombudsman Syed Tahir Shahbaz gave a comprehensive presentation on his organization while Federal Tax Ombudsman Mushtaq Ahmed Sukhera also briefed the conference participants.

Federal Ombudsman for Anti-Harassment Kashmala Tariq briefed the conference on the role of the agency in protecting women’s rights while Federal Insurance Ombudsman, Dr Muhammad Khawar Jamil and Banking Ombudsman Muhammad Khurram Shehzad briefed about the performance of their agencies.
