Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that improvement of mobile networks and internet services is in the interest of the country.

According to details, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Imran Khan in which the spectrum auction was reviewed for further improvement of mobile and internet services.

The Prime Minister was briefed on the request of mobile companies for acquiring more spectrum to further improve the network while the progress made so far was briefed in detail.

The Prime Minister expressed satisfaction over the interest shown by various companies in acquiring more spectrum.

The sale of spectrum should be completed in a very transparent manner and on priority basis, said the Prime Minister

Presiding over the meeting, PM Imran Khan said that improvement of mobile networks and internet services is in the interest of the country.

Prime Minister Imran Khan further said that special attention should be paid to the improvement of mobile and internet services in remote and backward areas of the country while the process of sale of spectrum should be completed in a very transparent manner and on priority basis.

The meeting was also attended by Aminul Haq, Hamad Azhar, Dr. Abdul Hafeez Sheikh, Secretaries of the concerned Ministries, Chairman PTA, Executive Director Frequency Allocation Board.
