Authorities in Pakistan closed 13 more schools across the country for not implementing health protocols devised to curb the spread of novel coronavirus.

According to the details, The National Command and Control Center said that 13 educational institutions that do not comply with the Coronavirus SOPs have been sealed.

In 24 hours, 10 educational institutions were closed in KP and 3 in Sindh. The outbreak spread in educational institutions due to lack of precautionary measures.

On the other hand, Sindh Minister for Education and Labor Saeed Ghani paid a surprise visit to Government Girls College in New Karachi and said that social distance should be maintained in the classrooms of the college.

Saeed Ghani also visited Mujeeb-ul-Nisa Ikram Government Girls Secondary Campus School located in New Karachi. He praised the principal for wearing masks and the presence of sanitizer in the school.

On the occasion, the provincial minister praised the management of the school for implementing all the standard operating procedures for curbing the spread of the dread virus.

The Minister also said that this school can also become an example for others as well.

22 Schools Closed

On Thursday Pakistan Authorities closed 22 schools across the country for violating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) set to curb the spread of COVID-19.

Just two days after the educational institutions opened in Pakistan after six-month closure, 22 schools that failed to implement health protocols devised to curb the spread of the dread virus were sealed.

According to the National Command and Operations Center, 22 educational institutions includes 16 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, one in Islamabad, and five in Azad Kashmir.

NCOC officials said the virus spread and cases emerged in the institutions that did not take precautionary measures.

Pakistan Reopen Schools

On September 15;  Schools and colleges across Pakistan reopened Tuesday ending a six-month-long closure.

The government had decided to close schools, colleges, and universities in March in order to curb the spread of coronavirus.

Sindh, however, had suspended educational activities in the province on February 27 after the detection of the first COVID-19 case in Karachi.
