During the next week, Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has announced to shut compressed natural Gas (CNG) stations across Sindh including Karachi for four days.

Instead of a three-day routine, SSGC announced that CNG stations in the next week would be closed for four days in the province.

According to the SSGC notifications, CNG stations would remain close from 8:00 am on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday for 24 hours.

Syed Wali Warsi, General Secretary of All Pakistan CNG Association said that RLNG stations would remain open in Sindh for 24 hours without any interruptions.

It should be mentioned here that on October 1st the SSGC officials said CNG stations across Sindh would remain shut throughout winters.

According to SSG officials, amid gas shortage, a plan was prepared to close down all CNG stations from October 15, 2020.

“Only those pumps supplying LNG will remain open,” they added.

The officials also said that the CNG Pumps will resume operations after four months, in February 2020.

“Pumps are now being shifted to LNG, rather than locally available gas supplies,” said pump owners.

Sources told BOL News that approximately 108 out of 700 pumps have been shifted to LNG.

“Sindh, a province which was self-reliant in gas, will now be operating pumps on imported LNG,” a gas expert said on the development.
