Another sad news for the citizens of Karachi as prices of electricity has been increased.

As per the initial details, the prices of electricity in Karachi has been increased by Rs 2.89 per unit.

According to the notification issued by the power division, the price of electricity per unit has been increased from Rs 1.09 to 2.89.

Earlier, The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has approved an increase of Rs 0.83 per unit in the power tariff on Thursday.

According to the details, the national power regulatory authority’s (NEPRA) notification stated that the price hike was made in the context of fuel price adjustment made in July.

“The increase will be collected in October bills, however, the increase in electricity prices will not apply to K- Electric customers,” the notification stated..
