Karachi: Two-Week Micro-Smart Lockdown Imposed In District East

As the second wave of the coronavirus began, authorities imposed a two-week micro-smart lockdown in District East.

According to details, as soon as the coronavirus re-emerged in Karachi, Pakistan’s economic hub, the government re-imposed lockdown in various areas. Smart lockdown will be held in the affected USCs tonight from 12 noon to 17 October.

Sources said that micro smart lockdown has also been imposed in District East for 2 weeks. The smart lockdown has been implemented in Mustafa apartment of Gulshan-e-Iqbal.

Lockdown is also being carried out in some areas of Gulistan-e-Jauhar Block-13 including Al-Khaleej Tower, some houses of Askari Four which were affected by the lockdown.

According to sources, 10 cases of Corona have been reported in Gulshan-e-Iqbal’s Mustafa apartment while 15 cases of Corona have been reported in Askari Four and 23 cases have been reported in Gulistan-e-Jauhar Block-13.

The DHO says 21 cases have been reported in the Gulf Tower and 11 in the Martin Quarters.

It may be recalled that Micro Smart Lockdown is also being implemented in District Korangi for 2 weeks. Lockdown will be held in specific UCs of Korangi from 7 pm to 15th October this evening.
