Sindh Govt announces to probe matter of Captain (R) Safdar’s arrest

The Government Sindh has announced to probe the matter of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leader Captain (R) Safdar’s arrest from Karachi hotel.

Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah, while addressing a media conference at CM House in Karachi, said a ministerial committee will be formed to probe the circumstances surrounding the arrest of retired Captain Safdar.

“We are forming a ministerial committee to probe the incident. The names have not been finalized but there will be three to five ministers,” said Shah.

It may be recalled that Captain (R) Safdar was arrested in the case of violating the sanctity of Mazar-e-Quaid. Captain (R) Safdar was arrested from a private hotel.  PML-N leader Capt. Safdar addressed the supporters in Quaid-e-Azam’s mausoleum with his shoes on.

He was produced before City court after he was arrested by police for violating the sanctity of Mazar-e-Quaid after which he was granted bail.
