Chief Minister of Punjab Usman Buzdar has approved the release of Opposition leader Shahbaz Sharif and his son Hamza Shahbaz on parole for 5 days.

According to the details, Shahbaz Sharif and his son Hamza Shahbaz will be released on parole on Friday.

The plea for release of both the PML-N leaders on parole was submitted by the PML-N to the home department Punjab, from where it was forwarded to a sub-committee of the cabinet on home affairs.

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader Ataullah Tarrar submitted the plea for release of Shehbaz Sharif and Hamza Shehbaz on parole to attend the funeral prayers of Begum Shamim Akhtar, mother of Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif.

The funeral prayers of Begum Shamim Akhtar, mother of Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif, will be offered at the Sharif Medical City Raiwind after Zuhr prayers on Saturday, November 28. Begum Shamim Akhtar, who was suffering from severe chest pain and worsening dementia, had passed away Sunday afternoon at the Avenfield apartments, where she was staying with her son, Nawaz Sharif.

According to the party spokesperson, the Rasm-e-Qul of the deceased will be carried out on Sunday, November 29, which will only be attended by Sharif family members.

According to the media reports, the body will be flown to Pakistan for burial in Jati Umra from London soon after her funeral prayers on Friday morning.

The dead body will be repatriated to Pakistan either through Qatar or British Airways.
