Sindh Excise and Taxation Department has introduced a modern vehicle registration system for vehicles replacing the conventional registration book.

According to details, Provincial Minister Mukesh Chawla has said in this regard that security featured an MVR smart card that has been issued for the registration of vehicles, which will enable the owners to get a smart card instead of the old registration book. These are equipped with the most modern security features.

The provincial minister said the cards would help eliminate fake registration books and make it easier for law enforcement agencies to determine vehicle ownership.

He added that vehicle owners will now be able to obtain this card instead of the registration book as proof of registration.

On the other hand, the minister said that the security-featured smart cards will not only eliminate the menace of fake registration of vehicles but also will help law enforcement agencies to determine their ownership without any hassle.

Moreover, he also said that the excise and taxation department had already introduced an online tax payment facility for motorists. He reiterated that providing facilities to people is the foremost priority of the provincial government.
