Vice President of PML-N Maryam Nawaz has urged Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) Lahore Jalsa participants to abide by the coronavirus standard operating procedures (SOPs) to prevent the spread of novel coronavirus.

According to the details, ahead of the PDM Lahore Jalsa, Maryam Nawaz took to her Twitter and wrote:

“Dear All, as responsible citizens, please remember to wear a mask for your own safety & that of your dear ones, at all times, before, during & after what is going to Insha’Allah a historic jalsa. Thank You.”

Earlier on Friday PML-N vice-president Maryam Nawaz released a video message regarding the rally of the Pakistan Democratic Movement to be held in Lahore on December 13 (today).

Maryam, in her message, said that people had approved the Pakistan Resolution at the Minar-e-Pakistan by supporting righteousness and truth and now, Insha Allah, a new history will be written at the same venue.

She said: “The 13th of December will not be a rally day but a day of judgement […] Get out of your homes, raise your voices, and mark your decision.”

It should be noted that PDM is holding rally in Lahore amid the spike in the novel coronavirus pandemic in the country. Pakistan recorded 3,369 new novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases and 72 deaths in the past 24 hours. According to the COVID-19 portal, the national caseload now stands at 438,425 with 8,796 deaths. During the period, a total of 42,222 samples were tested, out of which 3,369 turned out to be positive. As per the National Command Operation Center (NCOC), the number of active cases stands at 46,629 while 383,000 patients have recovered from the disease so far.
