Two Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) officers have been arrested by Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) involved in a fake degree scam.

According to the details, FIA has arrested two PIA officers Muhammad Sher Iqbal and Muhammad Asif in a fake degree scandal.

Both accused Muhammad Zubair, Muhammad Sher Iqbal was appointed in PIAC as Senior Technician based on their fake degrees.

The FIA has also registered a case against Rashid Ahmed, former Director HR, PIAC, Syed Fahad Ali, former Assistant Manager (Recruitment & Placement) PIAC, Muhammad Zubair, Senior Technician, Muhammad Asif Shabbir, and others.

On the other hand, scandals like fake degrees, fraud and bribery from passengers has resulted in the termination of twenty-six other PIA employees.

Replying over this matter, the PIA administration said that it has fired four people on illegal leave, four for taking bribe from eight passengers on fake degrees, three for fraud, two for disclosing government’s information and one for working illegally.

Moreover, the management has also accorded 12 employees for their good performance.
