Prime Minister Imran Khan has expressed grief over the demise of renowned Industrialist and real estate magnate Seth Abid Hussain.

Imran Khan in his early-morning tweet on Sunday wrote:

“Saddened to learn of the passing of Seth Abid Hussain. He was one of the early donors of SKMT.  Condolences and prayers go to his family.”

Seth Abid Hussain passed away in Karachi on Friday. The 85-year-old, who was one of Pakistan’s first richest persons, died after a short battle with an illness. His funeral was held at Hafiz Ayaz Mosque in Defence Phase II on Saturday after Asr Prayers.

Abid hailed from Kasur and his father was a big name in Karachi’s Sarafa Market.

Seth Abid left behind three sons and three daughters to mourn his death. Seth Abid’s wife died a few years ago.

Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has expressed grief over the death of businessman Seth Abid Hussain and extended heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the bereaved family.

Also, the Pakistan Muslim League (PML) leadership Chaudhry Shujaat and Punjab Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Parvez Elahi expressed deep sorrow and grief over the demise of a prominent businessman.

Ch Shujaat Hussain said that very few people would know that Seth Abid had done a lot for security and integrity of Pakistan. “I personally know that the national services rendered by Seth Abid are valuable which will always be remembered,” he said.

They prayed the Almighty may rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage to the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss.
