Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted a fresh cold system to enter Karachi from Balochistan on Saturday.

According to the details, Met office said that the westerly wave will bring Siberian winds with a speed from 22 to above 30 kilometers per hour.

The winds in Karachi will likely to bring the minimum temperature in the metropolis as down as four to five degree Celsius.

Health officials earlier said that the novel coronavirus surging in Karachi as its current cold weather with moderate humidity is most suitable for the spread of the virus, while its dense population with millions living in slums and regularly-held “super spreading events” are other contributing factors behind the surge.

Pakistan Meteorological Department also said that fog is likely to prevail in plain areas of Punjab and upper Sindh during morning hours.

Cloudy weather with rain snowfall over hills is expected in Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Potohar region, while cold and dry weather is expected elsewhere in the country during next twelve hours.
