On Friday (today), the Indian Army troops resorted to unprovoked ceasefire violation along the Line of Control (LoC) in Chirikot sector.

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Indian troops have targeted the civilian population injuring a 18-year-old girl, Ansa Saiddique.

Due to indiscriminate fire of automatics and Mortars in Polas village, Ansa Siddique suffered critical injuries, said ISPR.

Pakistan Army troops, however, responded effectively and targeted those posts which initiated fire.

Earlier, Indian Army firing had injured 11 innocent civilians attending a wedding ceremony in Jigjot village.

The ISPR said that the troops attacked the wedding ceremony with rockets and heavy mortars injuring 11 people which includes 6 women and 4 children.

Deliberately targeting civil population particularly women and children reflects lack of morality, unprofessionalism and utter disregard of human rights by Indian army as well as violation of ceasefire understanding of 2003, ISPR added more.
