The Attorney General of Pakistan (AGP), Khalid Javed has reportedly tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

According to the details, Pakistan Attorney General after feeling symptoms underwent the coronavirus test in the Agha Khan Hospital, which was diagnosed positive.

He has isolated himself after getting tested.

Let it be known that the Attorney General had recently represented the government before a larger bench of the Supreme Court headed by Chief Justice Gulzar Ahmed in hearing of the presidential reference seeking the court’s opinion over open ballot vote in the Senate election.

Earlier NCOC reported that more 23 deaths were recorded due to the coronavirus in a single day and 1,176 new cases emerged after conducting 38,920 tests.

The current national death toll hit 12,860, whereas after new infections the total number of confirmed cases is 579,973. Whereas the active cases toll stands at 21,836.
