Major General Saqib Mehmood Malik has been promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General and appointed Chief of Logistics Staff, Pakistan Army.

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Pakistan Army has appointed Major General Saqib Mehmood Malik as the Chief of Logistics Staff.

Earlier, Lieutenant General Fahd Bin Abdullah Al-Mutair, Commander Royal Saudi Land Forces had called on General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chief of Army Staff (COAS).

According to ISPR, during the meeting, regional security situation and issues of mutual interest including cooperation in the fields of defence, security and military training between both the armies had been discussed.

The visiting dignitary had acknowledged and appreciated Pakistan Army’s sincere efforts in bringing peace to the region especially the Afghan Peace Process.

COAS had extended thankfulness to the dignitary and said that Pakistan Army greatly values its close brotherly ties with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Back in 2020, Thirty-Seven Brigadiers in Pakistan Army had raised to the rank of Major General at army promotions board session held with Chief of Army Staff COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa in the chair.
