According to the details, Imran Khan in his letter invited Bill Gates to work together to work together to make the world a better place.
PM Imran in his letter wrote,
‘My government has already been moving to counter the impact of climate change through various policy initiatives. Pakistan. as you are aware, is a country which is on the front lines of this challenge and is amongst the top countries “continuously impacted” by climate change over the past two decades.’
Imran Khan added,
‘While we continue to work with the international community towards comprehensive implementation of Paris Agreement, we are also focused on translating our vision into actions on ground.’
Imran Khan said that,
‘Pakistan is also transitioning its transport sector, targeting 30 percent of vehicles to be electric by 2030. At the same time, the growing impacts arc forcing us to adapt to climate change. On this front, nature is not affording us a choice. We have to invest our stretched economic resources towards establishing early warning systems, fast deployment of climate smart agriculture as well as enhancing the efficiency of our depleting and increasingly unpredictable, freshwater resources.’
It is worth mentioning here that expressed concern over not being invited to the international climate change conference. Imran Khan said that the government’s environmental policies are driven solely by our commitment to our future generations of a clean and green Pakistan to mitigate the impact of climate change.
