The alleged killer of former diplomat’s daughter Noor Mukadam Zahir Jaffer underwent polygraph and other tests at Punjab Forensic Science Agency (PFSA) Lahore to verify his statements and the evidence gathered in connection with the murder.

According to the details, samples taken from the body of the deceased during the post-mortem have also been sent to the agency for testing.

Earlier, the accused was taken into physical custody for another three days on July 28 to verify the evidence gathered on his statements and revelations.

The investigating officer said that a team of Islamabad police had taken the alleged killer to Lahore on Thursday night and on Friday the accused was taken to PFSA where he underwent tests.

The accused underwent a polygraph test (lie detector test) to verify the statements made to the police during the interrogation.

The official said this was done to match and verify the accused from the videos recovered by the investigators, in which he was chasing Noor Mukadam and dragging her inside the house.

Investigators have obtained CCTV footage of a camera installed in the accused’s home and neighborhood.

He said that the footage showed that Noor Muqaddam jumped from the first floor of the house and ran towards the main door, but it was locked.

She later took refuge in a guard’s room but the accused broke down the door and dragged her inside the house.

He said that samples of the accused have also been taken for a DNA test to confirm the sexual abuse.

The heart, lung, stomach, liver, spleen and intestine samples taken from the victim’s body during the post-mortem were also submitted to the forensic agency, the official said.

Police officials said that the mobile phones of the victim and the accused were also sent to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) so that they could be unlocked for forensic tests and the deleted data could be recovered.

The investigating officer of the case, Inspector Abdul Sattar, said that about 25 tests were conducted on the accused in the PFSA.

He said the results of polygraph and DNA tests were awaited. The victim and the accused were using an iPhone and were locked when they were sent to the FIA.
