One person was killed and dozens were injured in aerial firing in several areas of Karachi on the occasion of Independence Day.

According to police, 27 people were injured after getting hit by stray bullets in different areas of the city while one person was also killed in Shah Faisal Colony.

Police officials say five women and four children were among those injured in the aerial firing on Independence Day.

According to police, the incidents took place in Korangi, Shah Faisal Colony, Burns Road, Paposh Nagar, City Court, Metro Valley Khyber Chowk, FC Area and Orangi town.
