Pakistan has recorded 72 more COVID-19 deaths during the past 24 hours, taking the country’s overall death toll to  24,478.

According to the corona statistics website (covid.gov.pk) in Pakistan, 53,644 tests were conducted across the country in the last 24 hours, of which 3,669 people were tested positive with the virus while 72 people died.

The official portal said that the rate of positive cases of corona in the country during the last 24 hours was 6.8%.

According to the official portal, the number of deaths from Coronavirus in the country has reached 24,478 and the total number of cases has reached 1.12 million.

In addition, 2218 patients have recovered in 24 hours across the country, bringing the total number of recoveries to 989,013 while the number of active cases is 88,588.
