Former Director FIA Dr Rizwan died of cardiac arrest

LAHORE: Former Director of Federal Investigation Agency Dr Rizwan died of cardiac arrest today (Monday).

As per details, the family sources have confirmed that Dr Rizwan suffered a heart attack and was immediately given medical attention but couldn’t make it.

Notably, the former director had been a cancer patient and recovered from the deadly disease last year.

It is pertinent to mention here that after the change of regime in Pakistan, Dr Rizwan sent a request for leaves on April 9.

He was heading the entire investigations of FIA against Shehbaz Sharif and his family in the Ramzan Sugar Mills case, Jahangir Khan Tareen in the JDW Sugar Mills case, the family of federal minister Khusro Bakhtiar as well as the Chaudaries of Gujrat in the Alliance Sugar Mills case.

Director Mohammad Rizwan had also launched an investigation against money launderers.
