KARACHI: The Judicial Magistrate East has ordered further investigations in the case of Dua Zehra – the girl who allegedly left her home to marry a 22-year-old in Lahore, reported BOL News on Monday.
The court issued orders over the C-class challan of the police in the case.
As per details, during the hearing today, the police presented the C class challan, witnesses and Zaheer’s statements before the court. The court questioned the age of the girl when she left the house.
“The girl must be old enough to leave home willingly,” remarked the court.
The plaintiff submitted a request to the Secretary of Health against the medical report of Dua that determined the girl as 17-year-old.

The NADRA records of the teenager also said that her age is between 13-14 years and the plea maintained that the report submitted by the medical team was fake.
The court granted the plea for further investigation into the matter.
Earlier, court ordered a further investigation and the formation of a medical board in the Dua Zehra case on Saturday.
Notably, a petition was also submitted by girl’s father, Mehdi Kazmi, in the court to stop Dua Zehra from appearing on print, electronic or digital media for interviews. The plea also holds that the girl should be banned from traveling out of the country and be presented in court.
