
A Pakistani fisherman was arrested.
SUJAWAL: Indian forces have detained one Pakistani fishermen in the Harami Nala maritime boundary close to the Indo-Pak border.
A Pakistani fisherman was arrested while ten fishermen saved their lives by jumping into the water. The arrested fisherman has been identified as Pyar Ali Jati who hailed form the coastal village at Zero Point.
According to media reports, India’s Border Security Force (BSF) on Friday detained one Pakistani fisherman and seized five boats from Harami Nala creek area.
The development came a day after the BSF seized two fishing boats abandoned by Pakistani fishermen in the same area.
During their patrolling, the BSF troops raided some fishing boats near the international border and reached the sport despite the increased water level due to high tide.
While other fishermen were successful in escaping towards the Pakistan side, the BSF managed to nab one Pakistani national and seized five abandoned boats. The BSF said except for some equipment and fishing nets, nothing suspicious was found from the seized boats.
The BSF had last month apprehended four Pakistani fishermen and seized 10 of their boats from the same area.
Indian forces have regularly violated maritime borders and apprehended Pakistani fishermen and their boats at regular intervals from the creek area.
