ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad administration has decided to seal the key locations in Islamabad by placing containers ahead of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)-led Azadi march.

The decision was taken in a meeting under the chairmanship of IG Akbar Nasir Khan.

DIG Operations said that the entrances from Faizabad and Koral Chowk will be closed from this evening. DIG Sohail Akhtar Chatta says that along with the police, FC and Rangers personnel will also be deployed, and Faizabad will be completely sealed by installing containers from all sides.

DIG Operations further informed that instructions have been issued to all SPs and SDPOs to install containers while alternative traffic routes will be provided to the public.

On the other hand, PTI has been finalizing the preparations for the Azadi march and the convoys are all set to leave for Rawalpindi.
