Bilawal blames Imran Khan for resurgence of terrorism

LARKANA: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairman and foreign minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that Imran Khan was removed from power in a democratic manner.

Bilawal was addressing a public gathering on the 15th martyrdom anniversary of his mother and former prime minister Benazir Bhutto in Garhi Khuda Bux.

“Just like Musharraf, the selected was removed through a no-confidence motion in a democratic way. This happened for the first time in the history of Pakistan,” he said.

He said Imran Khan was claiming that he was removed in a conspiracy by the United States. “It was the conspiracy of Bilawal House, not White House that ousted Imran Khan.”

Bilawal said that PPP had also ousted former military ruler General Retired Pervez Musharraf from power.  “It was the revenge of democracy. Musharraf has become a remnant of the past, so these remnants of Musharraf will also become a thing of the past,” he said.

He admitted there was massive inflation and the prices of petrol and diesel are touching the sky. However, he said that PPP has always brought the country out of trouble and will continue to serve the masses.

Bilawal also blamed Imran Khan for the new wave of terrorism. He said the ‘selected’ had been imposed on the nation which lead to a resurge of terrorism.

“Benazir Bhutto lost her life fighting terrorism. We also initiated operations against terrorists, but who gave this cricketer permission to negotiate with terrorists?” he asked.

Bilawal said that Imran bowed down to the terrorists and held negotiations with them. Today, terrorism is rising once again as a cricketer was turned into a prime minister.”

He said the coalition government would use all-out measures to break the back of terrorists. “We have to get rid of Imran Khan’s policy for terrorists and establish the writ of the state. We have to be united again to fight the terrorists,” he said.

He said Imran damaged the economy to save his government and enforced policies which were equivalent to suicide attacks on the nation.

He said Pakistan is facing bankruptcy risk for the first time in history. He added that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and his economic team saved the country from financial crisis.

He said that Benazir Bhutto fought against extremism and terrorism and was martyred for being a true patriot. He said that the conspirators wanted to make Pakistan economically weak and isolated globally but they foiled the conspiracy.
