Maulana Tariq Jamil has been discharged from hospital.
Renowned Islamic scholar and preacher Maulana Tariq Jamil has been discharged from a hospital in Canada after his health improved.
In a statement on Twitter, his son Yousaf Jamil said that his father’s health has improved remarkably. He said his father is now out of the hospital by the grace of Allah. “Thank you for your prayers and love,” he wrote.
Earlier this week, Maulana Tariq Jamil was hospitalized in Canada after he suffered a heart attack. It was also learned that he underwent an angioplasty.
Maulana Tariq Jamil was in Canada to attend an event organized by international charity Islamic Relief Canada (IRC). The event has since been postponed.

His son gave an update on Maulana Tariq Jamil’s health and said his father is much better and is will be discharged from the hospital soon.
In a message, Maulana Tariq Jamil also said his health has improved. He also shared a picture in which he could be seen sitting on a hospital bed bundled up in a shawl and wearing a woolen cap.
“By the grace of Allah and prayers of my well-wishers, my health is much better. After staying for three days in intensive care, I will Insha Allah be discharged from hospital,” he said, while requesting for prayers.
In 2019, Maulana Tariq Jamil also suffered a cardiac arrest and underwent a successful angioplasty in Lahore. A stent was inserted in his heart to clear the blockage of arteries.
He had also contracted the deadly coronavirus in December 2020 but fully recovered from the infectious disease. The the scholar also underwent an eye surgery earlier this year in April.
