MULTAN: Vice Chairman Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Wednesday said the controversial appointment in Punjab and arrest of PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry have shown government intentions.
Addressing a press conference in Multan, former federal minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said the caretaker setup is moving ahead under preplanned agenda which makes the election process controversial. He feared more PTI leaders can be arrested in the upcoming days in the country.
He said news of Imran Khan’s arrest has created uncertainty in party leadership and workers. He further said the arrested of former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry is condemnable.
Senior PTI leader said Imran Khan and other party leaders have raised objections to the name of Mohsin Naqvi but he was appointed as Chief Minister of Punjab.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi said a 24-hour-long power breakdown put the country in darkness and any untoward situation can occur during a power outage.
He said Caretaker Government has changed Joint Investigation Team (JIT) members which are probing the murderous attack on Imran Khan.
The former federal minister said PTI under the supervision of Imran Khan organized rallies and public gatherings but no awkward situation anywhere.
