Bol Network’s Co-Chairman, Shoaib Shaikh, has been released after securing bail from the court, reported by Bol News.
The request for post-arrest bail was presented to Special Judge Central Azam Khan during a captivating hearing session.
The court approved Shoaib Sheikh’s bail in exchange for a surety bond of Rs 50,000. Earlier in the day, following the conclusion of his two-day physical remand, Sheikh was escorted to Judicial Magistrate Abbas Shah’s courtroom. It was there that the Co-Chairman of Bol TV, Shoaib Ahmed Shaikh, was granted judicial custody.
Additionally, the court issued a directive for authorities to have Shoaib Shaikh undergo a medical examination. The attending doctors would then determine if he should be admitted to a hospital or not. Consequently, Shoaib Shaikh was transported to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) in Islamabad for this crucial evaluation.
On March 8, Shoaib Shaikh was arrested soon after his arrival in Islamabad, having flown there from Karachi.
Shoaib Shaikh faces charges of bribing Additional District and Sessions Judge (ADSJ) Pervez-ul-Qadir Memon in order to obtain a favorable ruling in the notorious Axact fake degree scandal.
