• FM Bilawal Bhutto said women participation must for prosperity in Pakistan
• He said PPP will not sit until dream of Benazir Bhutto is fulfilled
• He shared a message on occasion of International Women’s Day

ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister (FM) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on the occasion of Women’s Day said that PPP holds the honour of the first elected woman Prime Minister of the Muslim World.

PPP Chairman and Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said in his message on the occasion of International Women’s Day that the dream of making Pakistan a cradle of peace, prosperity and progressive thinking will not be fulfilled without the equal and full participation of women.

” From education and training and professional sectors to politics and higher policy-making institutions, women’s participation is essential.”

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari emphasized that educated and confident women can play an important role in the development of Pakistan.

“It is an honour to be the first elected woman Prime Minister of the Muslim world, the first female speaker, deputy speaker and foreign minister of the Islamic world is also a distinction of PPP’s martyred Benazir Bhutto who always took concrete steps for women empowerment and gender equality despite her short tenure.”

He said that First Women Bank, Women Police Stations and Lady Health Workers Program were started by Shaheed Benazir Bhutto herself, Pakistan People’s Party has introduced many programs for women’s economic independence while advancing the mission of their martyred Chairperson.

FM Bilawal Bhutto said that the Sindh Promotion of Breastfeeding and Nutrition Act, Sindh Child Marriage Restraint Act and the legislation regarding the prevention of marriage of young girls are also a distinction of PPP.

“Shaheed Benazir Bhutto dreamed that Pakistani women should have equality in every sphere of life. We will not sit down until this dream of hers is fulfilled.”
