The Higher Education Commission (HEC) in Pakistan has imposed a comprehensive ban on the University of Lakki Marwat, prohibiting the institution from announcing new admissions and affiliating with colleges and other institutions.
The decision stems from a recent inspection revealing severe irregularities, blatant violations, and a failure to adhere to HEC guidelines. In a notification, the HEC cautioned all stakeholders, including students and institutions, against seeking admission or affiliations with the University of Lakki Marwat.
Notably, a nationwide ban on granting fresh affiliations is in effect, emphasizing the seriousness of the observed non-compliance with regulatory standards.
