Ex-Pindi Commissioner’s PA’s brother arrested in raid

The police has raided the house of former Rawalpindi Commissioner Liaquat Chatta’s PA and arrested the brother of his PA Ashfaq Tarar.

According to the police, the raid was carried out at the residence of Ashfaq Tarar in Alipur Chatta, where the brother of Ashfaq Tarar was detained, the Alipur Chatta police also confirmed the raid.

The wife of Ashfaq Tarar said that Ashfaq is employed in the Department of Minerals, Ashfaq Tarar was working as a PA with Liaquat Chatta.

She further added that the police broke the locks of the outer door and entered the house, the police searched the house and seized all the documents found.

Added to that the police also seized the mobile phones of all our family members.

Previously, Commissioner Rawalpindi Liaquat Ali Chatta has announced his resignation after admitting the irregularities in the general elections.

While adressing a press conference at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Commissioner Rawalpindi said that I did injustice in Rawalpindi Division during the elections, we changed the lost candidates to 50,000 lead, 13 MNAs of Rawalpindi Division were defeated, they were given 70,000 lead and played with the country.

Liaqaut Ali Chatta said, “I accept the responsibility of the election rigging in Rawalpindi Division and handover myself to the police announcing my resignation from my post, I should be given the death penalty in Rawalpindi’s Kachehri Chowk.
