Rehana Dar challenges Khawaja Asif’s win in NA-71

Rehana Dar, an independent candidate from NA-71, challenged the victory of Muslim League (N) leader Khawaja Asif in the court.

Usman Dar’s mother Rehana Dar has challenged the Form 45 result in the Lahore High Court (LHC).

In the petition filed by Rehana Dar, it has been argued that Khawaja Asif declared himself the winner in form 47 with collusion, we have the results of form 45.

It is requested in the petition that the court should order the release of the results as per Form 45, the court should order the Election Commission to stop the release of the final result.

Earlier, the victory of PML-N leader Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif was challenged by National Assembly Constituency NA 130 Lahore.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf-backed independent candidate Dr Yasmin Rashid’s lawyer Ishtiaq Chaudhry has filed a petition against the victory of Nawaz Sharif in the Lahore High Court.

In the petition, the Returning Officer and the Election Commission of Pakistan, among others, have been made parties. It has been argued that Nawaz Sharif has lost the election as per Form 45.

Yasmin Rashid alleged in her petition that Nawaz Sharif colluded and declared himself the winner in Form 47, the court should order the release of results as per Form 45.

It should be remembered that according to the unofficial results of Constituency NA 130 Lahore 14, Muhammad Nawaz Sharif of Pakistan Muslim League-N won with 171,024 votes while Yasmeen Rashid was second with 115,043 votes.
