In response to the fact finding committee’s recommendations, a grading system has been introduced for students in the Intermediate Part-I Commerce Regular Group papers. This system allows for up to 15% grace marks in subjects such as Principal of Accounting, Principal of Commerce, Principal of Economics, and Business Mathematics.

This decision was made to address the declining trend in the success rate of candidates in certain Commerce Group papers, attributed to stringent marking and the proportion of MCQs in the papers.

It’s important to note that a similar Fact Finding Committee, appointed by the Chief Minister of Sindh / Controlling Authority Sindh Education Boards, had previously addressed student concerns regarding the results of Science Pre-Medical, Pre-Engineering, and General Science groups. This committee recommended granting up to 15% grace marks to students in four subjects of the Science Group.

Following the Science Group’s implementation, students from both groups have equally benefited from the introduction of up to 15% grace marks in four subjects of the Commerce Regular Group. Revised mark sheets for Science Group students will also be dispatched to colleges next week.
