This essential ID document, created by NADRA, includes biometric information such as fingerprints and iris scans, along with demographic details like home address and date of birth.
The distinctive features of the CNIC help prevent duplication and the creation of fake IDs, facilitating access to various government welfare schemes and programs. CNIC serves as a vital proof of identity, making it essential for all citizens to possess one.
As of March 2024, the regular fee for a CNIC is Rs 750, while the urgent fee is Rs 1,500. Additionally, the executive service is available for Rs2,500.
