
Security forces kill 5 Khwarij terrorists on Pakistan-Afghanistan border
Security forces foiled an infiltration attempt along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, killing five terrorist militants.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), on the night of January 18 and 19, security forces detected an infiltration attempt by foreign terrorists in the Houb area of Sambaza. However, the security forces successfully thwarted the infiltration, resulting in the deaths of five foreign terrorists.
ISPR further stated that Pakistan has repeatedly urged the interim Afghan government to establish an effective border management system along the international border, and it is expected that the Afghan government will fulfill its responsibilities.
The spokesperson for the Pakistan Army mentioned that Pakistan expects the interim Afghan government to prevent the use of its territory by foreign militants for terrorism against Pakistan.
ISPR added that Pakistan’s security forces are determined to protect its borders and will ensure the eradication of terrorism.
Earlier, on Friday, Security Forces killed five Khwarij terrorists, including their ring leader Abidullah, in an intelligence-based operation in the Tirah area of Khyber District. The operation was carried out following reports of Khwarij terrorists’ presence in the region.
According to an Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) release, Security Forces successfully engaged the terrorists’ position during the operation, resulting in the death of five Khwarij, including Abidullah, also known as Turab. One terrorist was apprehended during the operation.
Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the terrorists, who had been actively involved in several terrorist activities targeting security forces and innocent civilians in the area.
The ISPR also confirmed that a sanitization operation is underway to eliminate any remaining terrorists in the region. The military reiterated its commitment to eradicating terrorism from Pakistan.
