The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) introduced a Temporary Mobile Registration System to enable overseas Pakistanis and foreign visitors to use their mobile phones during their stay in the country, according to a handout.

The authority said in a news release that under this initiative, temporary visitors can register their mobile devices for up to 120 days and avail this facility during each visit to Pakistan.

The PTA designed this user-centric system to ensure uninterrupted mobile connectivity for visitors and support easy communication during their stay in Pakistan.

The PTA has fully digitized this free-of-cost registration process, allowing users to complete it through the official Device Registration System portal at: https://dirbs.pta.gov.pk/drs.

The statement added that PTA remains committed to delivering efficient, innovative, and inclusive services that prioritize users.
