ISPR: CJCSC attends PLA anniversary, Calls Pakistan-China ties ‘Iron-Clad’
RAWALPINDI – July 15, 2025: Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Sahir Shamshad Mirza attended a ceremony marking the 98th founding day of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) of China, reaffirming Pakistan’s deep-rooted ties with its long-standing ally.
Speaking as Chief Guest, General Mirza congratulated the Chinese people and military on the occasion, acknowledging the PLA’s transformative journey under President Xi Jinping’s leadership. He applauded China’s remarkable growth and modernization, calling the country a pillar of peace and stability in the region.
The event, attended by senior civilian and military officials, business leaders, and media, showcased the wide-ranging support for the Pakistan-China partnership.
In his address, the CJCSC described the Pakistan-China relationship as an “iron-clad brotherhood” — a bond built on mutual trust and strategic cooperation. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to ensuring the safety of Chinese nationals working in the country, particularly on projects related to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
General Mirza emphasized Pakistan’s readiness to expand collaboration with China in all areas — from defence and development to regional peace efforts, stressing that the friendship between the two nations continues to grow stronger with time.
