Rawalpindi: The 272nd Corps Commanders’ Conference vowed that any Indian aggression would be met with a swift and decisive response, declaring that India’s “myth of geographical superiority” will be shattered.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the conference was held at General Headquarters (GHQ) Rawalpindi under the chairmanship of Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir. The forum reviewed the security situation, regional environment, and ongoing operations in detail.

The session began with prayers for the martyrs who lost their lives in attacks carried out by Indian-backed proxies.

Army Chief lauds sacrifices and resilience

The COAS praised the sacrifices and resilience of the Pakistan Army in combating foreign-sponsored terrorism. He also commended the military’s role in rescue and relief operations during the recent floods.

Terror-crime nexus a threat to national security

The forum reaffirmed that the nefarious designs of anti-Pakistan forces would be thwarted. It observed that the nexus between terrorism and organized crime, supported by certain political elements, poses a grave threat to national security.

Concern over Indian provocations

The conference expressed deep concern over Indian leadership’s provocative statements and warmongering policies. It warned that Indian aggression would be met with an immediate and decisive response. The commanders stressed that Pakistan is fully capable of giving a fresh and effective response to any emerging situation.

Resolve to eliminate terror networks

The Corps Commanders reiterated their commitment to dismantle India-backed terrorist outfits, including Fitna al-Khawarij and Fitna al-Hindustan.

The forum also welcomed Pakistan’s recent diplomatic achievements, particularly the strategic defense agreement with Saudi Arabia, terming it a milestone for regional peace and stability.

Unwavering support for Kashmir and Palestine

The conference reaffirmed unwavering support for the Kashmiri people’s struggle for self-determination and solidarity with Palestinians. It called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, unhindered humanitarian assistance, and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on pre-1967 borders.

Focus on operational readiness

The Army Chief directed the commanders to maintain the highest standards of operational preparedness, discipline, and innovation. He reiterated that the Pakistan Army is fully prepared to counter both conventional and unconventional threats.
