Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has promised that development will reach every part of the province, not just Lahore. She said the government will improve villages, streets, and roads, build parks for every child, provide clean water for every home, and give shelter to every poor family.

Announcing metro projects for Gujranwala and Faisalabad, Maryam Nawaz said the government will issue ration cards to 2 million people. The government is building 90,000 houses in 37 districts and will complete 100,000 homes for flood victims this year.”

She highlighted that in one year alone, the government built 20,000 kilometers of roads and launched the “Clean Punjab” campaign with 150,000 workers. For the first time, electric buses were introduced in Punjab, with fares set at only Rs. 20. Lahore has received 40 new buses, and the number will increase to 70 by December.

Speaking about relief work, Maryam Nawaz said that Punjab carried out the country’s largest rescue operation during the floods, provided free medical facilities through “Clinics on Wheels,” and treated 1.1 million people free of charge. She remarked that while other provinces held press conferences, Punjab worked on the ground.

On security, she said the government has formed new crime control departments to make women feel safe when they go out. She also announced that the government will build hospitals for diseases that Pakistan could not previously treat, including a heart hospital in Murree and Galiyat. To fight pollution, smog control machines are now spraying across Lahore.
