Winter timings announced for schools in Punjab? Check here

The Punjab School Education Department has prepared a new timetable for schools in the province for the coming winter season.

Sources said the revised schedule has been sent to Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif for her approval.

According to the proposed plan, schools will open at 8:30 a.m. and close at 2:30 p.m. once the winter timings are officially introduced. Officials confirmed that the Saturday holiday will continue in all schools.

The new schedule is expected to take effect from October 20 after the chief minister gives formal approval. Earlier, Punjab’s Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat asked for public suggestions on Facebook, posting the question, “What should be the winter school timings?”
