Islamabad, Peshawar, and several districts of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) were jolted by earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale on Tuesday.
Tremors were also felt in Rawalpindi, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Swat, and nearby areas. According to the Meteorological Office, the epicenter was in southeastern Afghanistan at a depth of 22 kilometers.
People in the affected areas rushed out of their homes when the quake hit, but no injuries or property damage have been reported.
This incident followed another earthquake on Monday, which measured 6.0 on the Richter scale and was felt in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Murree, and several districts of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, including Peshawar, Mansehra, and Abbottabad.
