Earthquake tremors were felt in Gilgit, Skardu, Patan, Balakot, and surrounding areas.
Tremors of a 5.4-magnitude earthquake were felt across parts of Gilgit-Baltistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department.
The quake was felt in areas including Gilgit, Skardu, Pattan and Balakot.
The department said the earthquake had a magnitude of 5.4 on the Richter scale and occurred at a depth of 12 kilometers. Its epicenter was located in northwestern Kashmir, about 84 kilometers northeast of Gilgit-Baltistan.
No casualties or damage to property have been reported so far.
