RAWALPINDI: A dignified and prestigious military investiture ceremony was held at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi, where officers and soldiers of the Pakistan Army were honoured for their exceptional bravery, unwavering commitment, and distinguished services rendered in defence of the country.
The ceremony was attended by Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Nishan-e-Imtiaz (Military), Hilal-e-Jurat, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Staff, who participated as the chief guest and personally conferred military honours upon serving personnel, veterans, and the families of martyrs in recognition of acts of courage demonstrated during operations and remarkable contributions toward national security.
The event witnessed an atmosphere of solemn pride and national gratitude as military decorations were awarded to those who displayed extraordinary valour and professionalism in the line of duty. Families of martyrs were also present to receive honours awarded posthumously to their loved ones, reflecting the nation’s enduring acknowledgment of their sacrifices.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the honours awarded during the ceremony included 50 Sitara-e-Imtiaz (Military) and 12 Tamgha-e-Basalat, recognising exceptional service and gallantry.
The posthumous decorations were received by the families of fallen soldiers with dignity and resilience, underscoring their enduring strength and devotion to the homeland.
Speaking at the occasion, Field Marshal Asim Munir paid tribute to the martyrs and war veterans, describing them as a lasting source of national pride whose sacrifices continue to strengthen the foundations of the country.
He remarked that the peace and security enjoyed by the nation are deeply indebted to the unwavering courage, loyalty, and sense of duty displayed by those who laid down their lives in service of Pakistan.
The army chief also acknowledged the patience, resilience, and steadfast determination shown by the families of martyrs, praising their unmatched sacrifices and profound commitment to the nation. He noted that their courage and dignity remain an inspiration and hold a place of immense respect in the collective memory of the country.
Commending the operational readiness and professionalism of the Pakistan Army and law enforcement institutions, Field Marshal Asim Munir appreciated their continued efforts in combating terrorism and safeguarding national stability.
Reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to peace and security, he stressed that the campaign against terrorism would continue with full national determination until lasting peace and stability are firmly established across the country.
