Garment’s factory collapsed due to fire: Two firefighters injured

The injured firefighters have been shifted to the hospital for treatment.

A major fire broke out at a garment factory in Landhi, causing the entire building to collapse and leaving two firefighters injured.

According to a Rescue 1122 spokesperson, the injured firefighters have been shifted to the hospital for treatment.

Emergency assistance was requested from the Water Corporation to help control the blaze. An emergency was declared at the Landhi hydrant, while tankers at the Sherpao hydrant were placed on standby.

The Water Corporation immediately dispatched water tankers to the scene. Rescue officials said the fire quickly engulfed the three-storey factory, intensifying to the point where the walls of various sections began to collapse. Eventually, the entire structure crumbled.

More than 12 fire brigade vehicles, along with a snorkel, are actively working to extinguish the fire. Firefighting teams from nearby factories have also been called in to assist with the operation.
