Pakistan Navy Chief Admiral Naveed Ashraf embarked on a strategic visit to Malaysia, reinforcing naval ties and enhancing regional maritime cooperation.
The visit included high-level engagements with the Royal Malaysian Navy leadership, focusing on operational collaboration, maritime security, and capacity building.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Admiral Naveed Ashraf was warmly received at the Royal Malaysian Navy Headquarters by Chief of Malaysian Navy Admiral Tan Sri Zulkifli bin Mohd Zin, who accorded him a Guard of Honour.
During the meetings, both sides held detailed discussions on naval cooperation, strategic alignment, maritime security, operational collaboration, and capability enhancement between the Pakistan Navy and the Royal Malaysian Navy.
Admiral Naveed Ashraf highlighted the Pakistan Navy’s pivotal role in maintaining regional stability and discussed collaboration in regional maritime security patrols as well as joint participation in combined maritime forces.
The Chief of Naval Staff also visited Malaysia’s National Hydrographic Center, where both parties agreed on training programs, data sharing, and professional cooperation in hydrography.
The visit concluded with both sides reaffirming their commitment to strengthen maritime partnership and expand future naval cooperation between the Pakistan Navy and the Royal Malaysian Navy.
