RAWALAKOT: For residents who often face challenges in reaching healthcare facilities, a medical camp brought essential care closer to their homes.
The Pakistan Army organised a free mobile medical camp at 15 Chowk in Rawalakot, Azad Kashmir, providing healthcare services and medicines to thousands of people, including women, children and elderly residents.
More than 5,300 patients received free medicines during the medical camp, while medical teams examined over 141 individuals, including women, children and elderly residents, according to the information provided.
The initiative was aimed at providing quality healthcare facilities at people’s doorsteps and ensuring timely medical assistance for the local community. Medical staff offered consultations and necessary support to residents visiting the camp.
Local residents welcomed the provision of free medical facilities and described the initiative as a positive step, particularly amid the prevailing circumstances.
Residents of Rawalakot also appreciated the efforts of the Pakistan Army and law enforcement agencies for arranging the medical camp and extending support to the community.
