The Punjab government has launched a plan to give free plots to homeless families.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif announced that each deserving family will get a 3-marla plot.
In the first phase, 1,892 plots will be given out across 22 districts through 33 schemes:
Rawalpindi Division will get 685 plots in five schemes.
Faisalabad Division will receive 288 plots in four schemes.
Lahore Region will be given 518 plots across five schemes.
Regions like Bhakkar, Multan, Bahawalpur, Chiniot, Jhang, Okara, and others will also benefit.
CM Maryam Nawaz stated that providing shelter for the poor is a basic duty of the government, not just charity.
