Leaders of Wifaq-ul-Madaris Al-Arabia Pakistan, including President Mufti Muhammad Taqi Usmani, Senior Vice President Maulana Anwar-ul-Haq, and Secretary General Maulana Muhammad Hanif Jalandhry, have strongly condemned the recent suicide attack at an imambargah in Islamabad, describing it as tragic and unacceptable.
In a joint statement, the religious leaders said that taking innocent lives and targeting places of worship cannot be justified under any circumstances.
They urged authorities to ensure foolproof security for mosques, imambargahs, and religious institutions across the country and demanded strict action against those involved in the attack.
Meanwhile, the National Paigham-e-Pakistan Committee, led by Hafiz Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi, visited the injured and expressed solidarity with affected families, emphasizing unity, harmony, and interfaith respect.
Religious scholars reiterated their commitment to standing against terrorism and extremism, stressing that national peace, stability, and sectarian harmony must be protected at all costs.
