As Pakistan gets ready for its general elections on February 8th, well-known singer Asim Azhar used social media to motivate his fans and fellow celebrities to make sure they vote.

On Instagram stories, Azhar stressed the need for smart voting, asking followers to make informed choices “make people aware of the importance of voting and what is right and what is wrong.”

He emphasized the importance of picking the right leader, highlighting the responsibility that comes with it, “vote for the right leader and decide the future of their children.”

Actor Osman Khalid Butt took to Twitter to share helpful advice, reminding everyone to verify their polling station details. He suggested that those uncertain about their assigned station can simply text their ID number to 8300 for a speedy response.

Mishi Khan and YouTuber Shahveer Jafry used their Twitter accounts to spread awareness.

Voting will happen from 8 am to 6 pm on Thursday, February 8th.
